About the Presenter
Dr. Gavina is an assistant professor of clinical pathology at Indiana University School of Medicine, the Director of Clinical Microbiology & Serology for Eskenazi Health, and the Associate Medical Director for Molecular Infectious Disease Testing at IU Health in Indianapolis, IN. His research interests include diagnostic stewardship, molecular diagnostics and next-generation sequencing, novel assay development, and point-of-care testing for infectious diseases in low-resource settings.
